Windsurf Devin Desktop

Renamed 2 Jun 2026 AI coding

Cognition rebranded Windsurf to Devin Desktop and delivered it as an over-the-air update, keeping accounts, plans, extensions and keybindings. It is more than a rename: the default surface became an agent command centre, and the legacy Cascade agent was retired in favour of Devin Local.

Tome

Shut down Apr 2025 AI presentations

Sunset its AI presentation product, saying it had not found a sustainable path for consumer AI slides. The team pivoted to sales software under the name Lightfield; the Tome brand was later acquired by AngelList. Users who did not export their decks before the sunset lost them.
